Jenny Cheng took an unconventional career pathway after her LLB. During her studies, Jenny completed an internship with Silver Circle firm Ashurst LLP and worked as an Academic Research Assistant at the University of Auckland. She became drawn to business after MFAT sent her to an international entrepreneurship workshop in South East Asia, and subsequently worked at a legal tech start-up and also on an AI lawyer project. Jenny is currently Senior Business Development Consultant at DLA Piper and sits on the founding Executive of LegalTech NZ. A sought after speaker, Jenny has been a guest speaker for an LLM course, a panellist at the Legal Research Foundation conference and more. Jenny holds Law and Economics degrees from the University of Auckland.
