Samy Mansour is a Special Counsel at Clayton Utz where he advises domestic and international clients on investments, sales, joint ventures, projects, corporate governance and supply arrangements across a number of key industries including energy, resources, transport, infrastructure, health, insurance, manufacturing and retail. He is a Special Counsel of the Year finalist at the Australian Law Awards (2018) and is recognised as a “rising star” by Australasian Lawyer (2016) and Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession (2016 and 2010).
Samy is also the first Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Legal Innovation at the College of Law Australia with a focus on driving lawyer education and skills development through publications, developing and delivering seminars and masterclasses, and developing education materials focused on innovation for legal professionals. Samy’s team was the runner up for the social innovation program, the China Australia Innovation Project (2017) and he returned as a mentor to that program in 2018. He is also an Innovation Champion at Clayton Utz and the author of numerous articles on innovation including commentary on the NSW Innovation Strategy and the Australian Digital Economy Strategy. His passion for innovation has led him to seek formal training in innovative thinking at Swinburne University and at the science-focused innovation consultancy Inventium.
