Marlo joined PwC NewLaw Australia as a Director in 2019 to help establish the practice. She works with in-house legal teams and law firms to optimise their service delivery using people, process, and technology. Marlo previously spent two decades in top tier law firms in a range of roles including lawyer, client relationship manager and human resources manager. She has a detailed knowledge of the APAC legal industry having worked in Australia, Hong Kong and China.
Marlo’s particular skills include client relationship management, strategy consulting and development, workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and supporting legal transformation programs. She has a recognised capacity to collaborate across large and complex organisations.
Marlo’s contribution to innovation in the legal industry has been recognised as follows:
- Financial Times Collaborative Innovation Award for Industry Impact (2022) for PwC NewLaw Australia’s involvement in the development of the first-ever Legal Metrics Portal, a no-cost, collaborative industry resource that delivers value to legal departments through data-driven decision making. - Association of Corporate Counsel Value Champion Award (2021) for PwC NewLaw Australia’s strategic review of James Hardie’s global legal and compliance function using a continuous improvement framework. In the first year, James Hardie achieved 25 percent savings against average annual external legal spend.
- Financial Times Asia Pacific Innovative Lawyers Award (2016) for HSF’s collaboration with Telstra Legal to develop an award-winning innovation framework which later became the subject of a Harvard Law case study on Client Centred Innovation.
