One of the exciting new initiatives for LawFest this year, is the new ‘Preparing for Change’ stream that is tailored to those starting their journey with legal technology. This stream is a perfect introduction to all you need to know about innovation and technology in law, full of valuable insights and practical advice.
Kicking off the stream is a session not to be missed by the vibrant Carlene O’Meagher of Chapman Tripp. Carlene has put in her own words, what her session promises to deliver –
“Initially I was a bit nervous when LawFest first asked me to present this year: I don’t own my own software company; I can’t write Java (although I enjoy the odd cup). But I can talk to lawyers about technology, even the ones that don’t like change. My session “20 Tips in 30 Minutes” will distil the best things I’ve learned over the past 17 years, not just working in legal tech but really helping lawyers innovate and grow with technology. We’ll avoid the jargon and instead I’ll just share the things I’ve seen done well and the things that could have been done better on various projects I’ve been involved with. We’ll also look at ways you can get yourself and your team ready – and even excited – about heading into this digital disruption.”
You can hear the practical advice of Carlene O’Meagher, together with our other exciting speakers at LawFest on the 17th of May.
