Hayden is Chair of Dentons in New Zealand, and Global Vice Chair of the Dentons Global Board, made up of 30 leaders globally. In his role on the Global Board, he leads the firm’s Clients and Markets Committee. That role brings a global perspective to Hayden’s work both as a lawyer and as a leader in the firm in New Zealand.
He is a dispute resolution expert and is internationally recognised as a leading advocate and highly skilled mediator. He has extensive experience helping organisations resolve complex commercial and public law issues. Hayden works across the range of public law disciplines including core administrative public law issues, advice on legislative obligations, and judicial review in the public sector. He helps both public and private sector clients to manage a wide range of public law issues, including managing and reviewing risk, advising on privacy and information law, human rights obligations, and regulatory issues.
Hayden and his team provide crisis management support and advice in relation to government or regulatory investigations, inquiries or prosecutions.
