Tila is Special Counsel and Business Transformation Manager with MinterEllisonRuddWatts, and uses her 30 years’ experience as a lawyer, and a passion to deliver exceptional client service, to drive innovative change in the legal profession.
Her current focus is streamlining legal processes and capitalising on systems and technology to empower people, increase efficiency and manage risk – transforming how lawyers in a large law firm practice law.
She self describes as “not techie” – but she has always embraced using legal tech in practical ways to help herself and others be better lawyers. As a litigator, Tila’s civil case was selected for the first jury trial in the US to use real time court reporting and she was selected to be part of an electronic filing pilot for the first US court to go to efiling.
MinterEllisonRuddWatts have been using Tila’s legal process design techniques to capitalise on document automation for entire transactions, and Tila will talk to the successes and challenges of this ambitious approach.
