James Allen is Process & Innovation Manager at Tompkins Wake and the firm’s Project Owner for its Legora rollout. His job is making the way the firm works less painful: better systems, less friction, and tech that actually gets used.

His background spans hospitality, health and safety, business analysis and now legal ops. Somewhere along the way he realised he’s a systems thinker. He looks at how people, process and technology interact, where the friction sits, and what’s actually causing the problem rather than just fixing the bit that’s making noise. Turns out every industry has its own version of “why are we doing it this way?”
